We talk about the difficulties of being black in America. We talk about the horrors of being a black man in America. I want to talk about the incongruities of being a black cop in America because we too have felt the hurt and pain of watching the seemingly endless videos of black men being killed by cops but are the rare few who are capable of understanding both sides of the struggle for equity.
